About Counselling
What is Counselling?
Counselling is a talking therapy that helps people with psychological or emotional issues to facilitate effective change in their lives. Counselling offers you a confidential and safe space that will enable you to explore, heal and grow. It will be engaging, supportive, non-judgmental and sometimes challenging.
My approach:
My approach is integrative, concentrating on solution focus therapy and coaching. The integrative part of that statement means that I am able to draw on a wide range of approaches, which means I use the right approach tailored to your individual needs and one that looks after your whole self. My belief is in total well-being which is about caring for your mind, body and spirit as I believe that health, emotion and well-being are inter-related and inter-dependant.
What to expect in the first consultation:
Each counselling session lasts for approximately 50 minutes on a weekly basis. In order for you to achieve the best outcome I will need to ask some personal details about yourself; personal history, lifestyle, what outcomes you want to achieve and then discuss and agree on them. We will also discuss practicalities such as when you are available for appointments and the boundaries governing our therapeutic relationship.
Pricing: 60 min session £78.00
